Ravens' Flacco plummets to No. 97 on top-100 player list
Joe Flacco is coming off the best statistical output of his career, making it all the more baffling that he fell 39 spots to No. 97 in NFL Network's countdown of the top 100 players in the league.
Flacco amassed 3,986 passing yards in 2014 with 27 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He passed for 3,912 yards with 19 TDs and 22 INTs the previous season, when he placed 58th out of the top 100.
The Ravens quarterback had his best showing on the list on the heels of his Super Bowl win over the 49ers, settling in at 18th. Fellow Raven C.J. Mosley came in at 94, five spots ahead of Flacco.
Finishing just ahead of Flacco were Titans DT Jurrell Casey at 96 and Denver's Emmanuel Sanders at 95. But hey, at least Flacco came out ahead of a kicker -- Indianapolis' Adam Vinatieri was one spot behind at 98.
