Packers LT David Bakhtiari inactive for first time in NFL career

December 27, 2015

Green Bay Packers left tackle David Bakhtiari was declared inactive before the team's Week 16 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. Before Sunday, he had not missed a game in his NFL career.

Via ESPN's Jason Wilde:

The Packers drafted Bakhtiari in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He became the team's starting left tackle as a rookie and started the first 46 games of his professional career. Although the third-year pro was able to play through a bum knee the last month, this ankle injury has finally forced him to the sideline.

Don Barclay, the Packers' experienced swing tackle, got the start in Bakhtiari's stead against the Cardinals. It was the 23rd start of his career and his fifth this season.
