No setbacks for Chicago Bears RT Jordan Mills during long recovery
Chicago Bears starting right tackle Jordan Mills might finally be back in fighting form. After fracturing the fifth metatarsal on his left foot at the end of his rookie season, Mills never looked fully healthy in 2014.
Bears head coach John Fox has no injury setbacks to report when it comes to Mills, according to ESPN's Jeff Dickerson. The sample size is still too small, however, for Fox to properly gauge the progress of his linemen.
"He's grasped the protections, the run schemes," Fox told ESPN. "We're practicing some things at kind of a high pace right now. But until we get in pads, sometimes it's hard to give a great, great evaluation in particularly, really, on any side of the ball, linemen-wise."
Mills was a fifth-round pick out of Louisiana Tech in 2013. On top of his bum foot, he also dealt with a rib injury while struggling through 13 games last year.
