Lions' Ziggy Ansah tied a franchise sack record in 2015

Detroit Lions defensive end Ezekiel Ansah stepped up and became a sack master in 2015. He finished the season with 14.5 sacks, just a half-sack shy of Robert Porcher's single-season franchise record (15.0 sacks in 1999).
Although Ansah fell short of the record mark, his 11 games with a sack matched a different team record set by Porcher in '99.

Ansah recorded a sack in all but five games. In two of his 11 games with a sack, he had more than one. The former fifth-overall draft pick sacked Russell Wilson twice in a 13-10 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 4. His finest performance of the season came on Thanksgiving, when he sacked Mark Sanchez 3.5 times in a 45-14 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Only Houston's J.J. Watt (17.5) and Oakland's Khalil Mack (15.0) had more sacks than Ansah in 2015. After recording the first double-digit-sack total of his career, the 26-year-old pass-rusher is poised to be one of the NFL's best for seasons to come.
