Lil Wayne releases Green Bay rap

Published Feb. 3, 2011 12:00 a.m. ET

With Super Bowl XLV just around the corner, rapper Lil Wayne declared himself a Cheesehead, releasing a rap song in support of the Green Bay Packers Thursday.

"Got a call from my homie this just in, the Packers are in the Super Bowl and they better win," the 28-year-old raps in his single "Green & Yellow."

Though the rapper — whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. — hails from New Orleans originally, he declares "Green Bay is my team" in his single.

Wayne's Thursday release is a take-off of fellow rapper Wiz Khalifa's ode to his hometown team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, in "Black and Yellow."
