Jets TE Keller injures hamstring vs. Panthers

Published Aug. 26, 2012 9:53 p.m. ET

New York Jets tight end Dustin Keller has injured his hamstring and is out for the rest of the preseason game against the Carolina Panthers.

It was unclear when Keller was injured, but he appeared to go down quickly after a 24-yard catch on the Jets' first offensive play Sunday night. A few minutes later he walked to the locker room, and the Jets announced he was out for the rest of the game.

Keller and the rest of the starters were expected to play into the third quarter.

Keller led the Jets last season with 65 catches for 815 yards and five touchdowns.
