Green Bay Packers DB Damarious Randall: I feel 'no different' at CB

Versatile defensive back Damarious Randall, a first-round pick in the 2015 NFL draft, played safety at Arizona State last year and is now lining up at cornerback for the Green Bay Packers. A different position doesn't really change much about Randall's game, according to AP sportswriter Genaro C. Armas.

"Really, no different," Randle told the AP about his position switch. "A lot of people say that I move like a corner, and that just feels like my natural position."

Randall is still soaking in the experience, savoring the new NFL lifestyle and absorbing his playbook. It's still early in the offseason. Team workouts have only just begun, and expectations for rookies remain loose.

"It's just more like still surreal to me. Just sitting here kind of learning everything,'' Randall said, per the AP report. ''Right now, I'm just learning the playbook and taking it day by day."

The Packers have an abundance of options in the secondary, so they aren't counting on Randall to plug an immediate gap. However, a player of his athletic caliber can take on a little bit more each day until he becomes a regular contributor.
