Ed Reed and the Texans take turns kicking each other

To be fair, I think the Texans started it.

Specifically, defensive coordinator Wade Phillips, said this about Reed: "We all thought he was going to be the J.J. Watt of the secondary. It didn't work out that way."

Well, Reed, who was released by the Texans and then signed by the Jets last week, fired back with both barrels on Wednesday. He specially targeted Phillips with his pointed comments to the media.

"[Phillips is] probably the reason I'm not there," Reed said to the Baltimore Sun. "That defense is not a good fit for a lot of people, not just me. The truth is the truth."

Boom! That's one haymaker and Reed isn't even done yet.

"You got to look at the play-calling and put your players in position to make plays."

Reed feels some regret that he ever signed the three-year, $15 million deal in the offseason to come to Houston.

"I don't even know how to describe it," Reed said. "It was some interesting stuff I experienced with a different organization."

Oh well, just like many relationships, it fizzled fast and ended ugly. Oh well, at least both parties seem to be happy with they are now.

Although I doubt the Texans are happy with their current eight-game losing streak, but that's a different story.
