The struggling 1-4 Carolina Panthers allowed the Saints to score 21 unanswered points to begin the game Sunday, but Cam Newton helped pull the Panthers within a touchdown in the third quarter with a spectacularly awkward jump pass to Ed Dickson.
The Saints brought the blitz and forced Newton to scramble toward his left - but just before he got to the sideline, Newton jumped, squared his body to Dickson in the air and lobbed a perfect pass into the endzone.
Unfortunately for Newton and the Panthers' offense, New Orleans answered with a touchdown on their next drive.
