Bengals defensive end Michael Johnson made headlines this offseason for cashing in two free agent contracts to the tune of $30 million in 18 months.

Johnson and his foundation have decided to give back in the form of a new technology center at the middle school he attended in Selma, Ala. Martin Middle School's computer lab was in danger of being shut down by its school district due to lack of funding to replace its aging computer fleet.

When Johnson's MJ93 Foundation caught wind of a candy fundraiser at the school. Johnson stepped up with a donation twice over to completely overhaul the facility with new equipment, now aptly named the Michael D. Johnson Technology Center.

"It’s a blessing to invest in your town," Johnson told Bengals.com. "You pay it forward. You get a chance to help other people and you hope what you’re doing helps in other areas. The way I look at it, the more my income has increased the more I’ve been able to help.”
