Adrian Peterson's message to his Vikings teammates
Former NFL MVP Adrian Peterson is coming back when the 7-6 Vikings need him most, as Minnesota faces a must-win situation at home against the Indianapolis Colts. Peterson has been out of action since Week 2 with a torn right meniscus.
In a video for Fox Sports: PROcast, Peterson revealed what he told his teammates Saturday night ahead of their game against the Colts.
"I'm excited, it's been a long journey to get to this point. A lot of hard work involving a lot of people to get me to this day. God definitely gets all the glory for his healing power, and just his mercy and grace that he has blessed me with throughout this process, truly.
You know, like I was telling the running backs last night, we only can control the things we can control... so going out there today, putting everything on the line in hopes of finishing 3-0 these last three weeks starting with this first one. We've just got to do what we do and let the chips fall where they may.
It's been a long time coming, I'm back in the mix."
