Warriors assistant coach Alvin Gentry: 'We just don't fear anyone'

Golden State Warriors assistant coach Alvin Gentry has been around the league a long time. He's been a head coach for four different teams and an assistant, most recently with the Los Angeles Clippers last year.

In his first year as an assistant head coach with the Warriors under Steve Kerr, though, Gentry hasn't wasted anytime adopting the confidence that make the Warriors such a dangerous team to play against.

Here's what Gentry told Ben Golliver of Sports Illustrated:

“We respect every single team in this league, we just don’t fear anyone,” Gentry said. “We worry more about our team and the way we are performing rather than worrying about other teams. Our whole goal is to play to the top of our game, execute the way we’re supposed to, we’ll take the results of what happens from there. We [relish] the ‘favorites’ tag. We’ve earned that spot.”

The top-seeded Warriors finished with the regular season's best record at 67-15 and are currently up 3-0 in their first-round series against the New Orleans Pelicans.
