Steph Curry says Game 6 is 'definitely the biggest game' of his career

Stephen Curry hasn't played like the reigning two-time MVP in the Finals, putting up inconsistent efforts as the Warriors seek their second consecutive title. But as Game 6 approaches, Curry isn't trying to defuse the pressure.

In fact, he's adding to it.

When asked if Thursday's game against the Cavs will be the most important of his seven-year career, Curry didn't hesitate.

"Yeah, we have a chance to win a championship, so definitely the biggest game, and I'm ready for it," Curry said after practice Wednesday, via USA Today.

Curry hasn't appeared ready for a majority of these Finals games. The unanimous MVP has struggled to find the magic that made him a marvel during the regular season. He's averaging 22.2 points in the first five games of the series, nearly eight points below his regular-season average.

Curry looked like he'd come to life in Games 4 and 5, averaging 31.5 points. But despite the increased output, he's still struggling with his shot. He shot 41 percent from the field in the past two games.

But it's not just his scoring that hasn't been up to Curry's standards. He's also not taking care of the ball against the Cavs, averaging 4.4 turnovers.

If the Warriors are to finish the Cavs in Cleveland, Curry knows he has to improve. But he's more focused on the team's success than his individual numbers.

"I want to honestly play better and more consistent, but the situation is right now we're one game away from winning a second championship, and I personally have 48 minutes to do what I need to do to help my team win," Curry said. "So right now you could kind of get lost in (the criticism). But at the end of the day if I'm sitting here tomorrow night with another trophy and celebrating with my teammates, we can talk all day."
