Porter suffered thigh injury that leaves future status 'uncertain'
The Washington Wizards are snakebitten, and things might get even worse. Otto Porter left Wednesday night's game in the third quarter after worsening a thigh bruise he tried to play through.
Here's more on the injury, and when Washington can expect to see their starting small forward back in the lineup, per The Washington Post:
Washington's net rating drops to minus-9.4 points per 100 possessions when Porter is not on the court—the lowest for any Wizard. That's really bad news for a team that's already down Bradley Beal, Nene, Drew Gooden and Alan Anderson.
If they want to stay in the hunt for a playoff spot, Porter can't miss too much time.
Starting forward Otto Porter Jr., who is third in scoring for the club this season, left Wednesday’s 114-95 loss to the San Antonio Spurs in the third quarter with a left thigh injury. Porter had been dealing with a bruise in the thigh in recent days and tried playing through it. Porter was not available to the media after the game and his status moving forward is uncertain.
