Pau Gasol loves the opera, but he is too tall for it

Amidst the Chicago Bulls' heated second-round playoff battle with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Pau Gasol has sustained a tightened hamstring that may keep him out of action for Sunday's Game 4.

Maybe the injury will give him some extra time for his favorite hobby: the opera. A recent Chicago Tribune profile sheds light on the native Spaniard's fondness for the age-old genre, including an amusing bit about how his uncanny seven-foot frame fits in at the singing hall.

"I am empathetic about the people behind me," Gasol told the Tribune. "I find myself kind of sliding down to make it better or I say to the person behind me, 'I'm going to lean to the right, you just lean to the left, and if you have any issues, let me know.''"

What a guy. Maybe he'll be this much of a gentleman from the sidelines at the United Center soon, shifting his giant frame for the fans to see the opera of Derrick Rose's operatic return to the postseason.
