The Boston Celtics have filled out new coach Brad Stevens' staff.

The team says that former Celtics forward Walter McCarty will return as an assistant coach. Also joining the team are Ron Adams and Micah Shrewsberry. Jamie Young and Jay Larranaga had already been in position.

Adams spent the last three seasons as an assistant with the Chicago Bulls. Shrewsberry spent three seasons as an assistant at Purdue and worked with Stevens at Butler. McCarty worked for the Celtics as a community relations consultant last season. He had been a member of Jim O'Brien's coaching staff with the Indiana Pacers during the 2010-11 season and spent three seasons at Louisville as an assistant.

McCarty played 10 seasons in the NBA before he retired in 2006.
