Lonzo Ball out vs Thunder, unlikely to play Friday either
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Los Angeles Lakers guard Lonzo Ball was ruled out for a game Wednesday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder due a sore left knee.
Ball also missed the previous game at Memphis. Lakers coach Luke Walton said he doubts Ball will be ready to play Friday when the Lakers host Indiana. The rookie is averaging 10.2 points, 7.1 rebounds and 7.1 assists and is one of the team's best defenders.
Thunder guard Andre Roberson, one of the league's top perimeter defenders, returned after missing eight games with left patellar tendinitis. Thunder coach Billy Donovan said how much Roberson plays would depend on how he felt.
Lakers forward Brandon Ingram returned to action after missing the Memphis game with a mild left ankle sprain. He's second on the team with 16.1 points per game.
