Lakers vs. Warriors: Prediction, Game 6 odds, schedule and TV channel

Updated May. 12, 2023 12:30 p.m. ET

Few things motivate LeBron James more than proving his doubters wrong.

Beating Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors is one.

Making a surprise run to his fifth NBA title?

Definitely another.

Well, LeBron and the Los Angeles Lakers only need one more win to advance to the NBA Western Conference finals. In Game 4, James, Anthony Davis and Austin "Hillbilly Kobe" Reaves combined for 71 points to help lift L.A. over Golden State as a road dog. Unsuspecting hero Lonnie Walker IV contributed 15 points off the bench in the Lakers' 104-101 victory putting the Warriors on the brink of elimination.

Then in Game 5, the Warriors came back with a golden revenge. In that matchup, the defending champs got the decisive 121-106 victory over the Lakers to force a Game 6 back in Los Angeles.

Remember, the Lakers had to qualify for the first round of the playoffs via the play-in round. Yet here they stand, the -250 betting favorite (bet $10 to win $14 total) at FOX Bet to oust the Warriors and win this series. Los Angeles came into the series as underdogs.

Steph and LeBron each have four NBA rings. The Lakers are tied with the Boston Celtics for most NBA championships with 17.

Think "King James" is motivated to break those ties during the fourth quarter of his illustrious career?

Each team has already eliminated a higher seed — the Lakers bounced the No. 2 Memphis Grizzlies and the sixth-seeded Warriors sent the No. 3 Sacramento Kings packing in the first round.

The Lakers own a 6-1 edge over the Warriors in playoff matchups, most recently when Los Angeles advanced in five games in the 1991 Western Conference semifinals.

Here's a look at the series from a betting perspective, with odds at FOX Bet:
