Klay Thompson on if Tony Allen is in his head: "Come on, man"
Memphis Grizzlies guard Tony Allen is one of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA. Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson is one of the best wing scorers in the NBA. So what happens when the two clash?
So far, Allen has gotten the better of Thompson, holding him to just 13 points on 6-for-15 shooting in a Game 2 loss.
Allen isn't afraid to talk on the court, which led some to wonder if Thompson was getting talked out of his game.
Here's his response, via Monte Poole at CSN Bay Area:
Klay Thompson wanted to clarify a matter that may be forming the minds of those observing this Warriors-Grizzlies Western Conference semifinals series.
Memphis defensive ace Tony Allen is not in his head.
Asked about that notion after practice Thursday, Thompson went silent, wincing and rolling his eyes.
"You know what I think now? That's all I've got to say," he finally said. "In my head? Come on, man."
