Jahlil Okafor allegedly told his dad to stop heckling Brett Brown from the stands
Things have not gotten off to a great start where Jahlil Okafor and the Philadelphia 76ers are concerned. Not only has the third overall pick in the draft gotten into more than one off-court altercation during his brief time in the NBA, but now his father is harassing head coach Brett Brown from the stands.
Allegedly.
As Michael H. Webber tells it, Okafor's dad was relentless in heckling Brown from behind the team's bench during Philadelphia's blowout loss in Los Angeles at the hands of the Clippers.
If this actually happened the way Webber says it did, this isn't great for the Sixers and their beloved Process. Keep in mind that most experts had Okafor going second overall to the Lakers, so when L.A. surprised with their pick by selecting D'Angelo Russell, it could have been crushing mentally -- not only for Okafor, but for those closest to him, as well.
I asked Jah's Dad to take a photo with me. He said, "Only if you cover Hinkie's face on your shirt." pic.twitter.com/rbJsrcAO7a
