Houston Rockets turn real life into an NBA Jam highlight reel

Everyone loves NBA Jam: It's only one of the most entertaining, influential video games ever made. The smart Houston Rockets apparently agree, which is why they used it to put together one of the coolest highlight reels to date, even bringing back legendary voiceover actor Tim Kitzrow to narrate the Rockets' play.

The clip has it all: turbo boosters, incredible sound FX, "Boom shakalaka," "He's on fire!" and countless other catchphrases from the original game that still permeate popular culture today. This is a perfect homage not just to the Houston Rockets but also to the 1990s video game.

Even if you're not a Rockets fan, always remember: You bring the peanut butter, and I'll bring the jam.
