Here are five free agents the Rockets should try and sign
The Houston Rockets don't have max cap space, but they do have financial flexibility, and clearing enough room to make a run at one of the best players available this summer isn't impossible.
Courtesy of FanSided's Rockets blog House of Houston, here's a look at five guys general manager Daryl Morey will try and acquire, including former Rocket Goran Dragic:
"Dragic’s fit alongside Harden would be flawless and the roster would be destined for multiple championships. He’s a capable play maker and a good shooter from beyond the arc. If Dwyane Wade leaves Miami because of the current disagreement over contract negotiations, be on the lookout for Dragic to also leave if he wants to play for a championship."
The Rockets are looking for a secondary ball-handler to take offensive pressure off James Harden's shoulders, and Dragic could be the solution. He already knows how to thrive in an uptempo system, can space the floor and run devastating pick-and-rolls.
It's hard to think of a better backcourt fit, but in order to sign him Houston will need to clear a bit of space by shedding salary off their books. If that means getting rid of Trevor Ariza, is signing Dragic worth it?
