Greatest trash-talk ever? Reggie Miller tells Kimmel about legendary MJ smack

Reggie Miller was a guest on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Thursday night and shared a fantastic story about the time he tried talking trash to Michael Jordan.

Miller, who was a five-time All-Star and basketball Hall of Famer, entered the league in 1987 and said his first brush with Jordan came during a preseason game. Apparently Miller was playing pretty well, so with some encouragement from teammate Chuck Person, he started trash-talking MJ.

Miller says he had 10 points in the first half while MJ had four, and that’s when he started talking. Only, Jordan ended up with 44 and Miller finished with 12. Jordan taught him a lesson that day and capped it off with a fantastic quote:

“You sure, be careful, you never talk to Black Jesus like that,” Jordan cautioned Miller.

Miller says he was apologetic afterwards and never talked trash to Jordan again. And after hearing that story, you probably can understand why Miller speaks so highly of Jordan, especially in comparison to Kobe.
