Gasol: 'I have confidence in my team'

The Memphis Grizzlies are already down a game in the Western Conference semifinals, as most expected they would be. But regardless of whether Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley can return or not, Marc Gasol is sure his team can overcome seemingly insurmountable odds to come back and defeat the Golden State Warriors.

Here's what Memphis' All-Star center recently said about his team's chances:

"I know we have talent. We have competitiveness. I have no doubt in my mind we can win against anybody. They shoot a lot of shots. They make a lot of shots, and a lot are tough. But you don’t get out of character and do stuff you’re not built for. You have to be you.”

That's good news, sort of. A superstar is supposed to have confidence, but this may be a situation where some of it's borderline delusional. Golden State manhandled Memphis in Game 1. The road ahead should definitely be a bumpy one, regardless of what style of play the Grizzlies adopt.
