Draymond Green drops profound knowledge

Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green turned into a philosopher about basketball.

When it comes to words of wisdom, Draymond Green always has plenty to say. He’s easily the best quote in the NBA and he either says something incredibly funny or something that makes you walk away wondering what he just said.

Still, Green always keeps it real and he isn’t afraid to drop profound knowledge. After the Golden State Warriors dispatched the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday night, he gave a classic line about the basketball. He told reporters that “The ball will find who it needs to find.”

If that quote doesn’t get the love that it deserves, then it will be a real shame. That is quote that deserves all praise for how well timed it was. Green is known for keeping it real, but this is just so profound that it speaks to the guy Green is.

He’s becoming a philosopher of sorts and there is not a player on the Warriors that has the pulse of his team more than Green. The Warriors were able to open up from deep against Oklahoma City and many players finally got right shooting the ball. In other words, the ball found who it needed to find.
