Celebrating San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili's 38th birthday
San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili is one of the most original players in NBA history. The guy sees things nobody else even notices, and plays basketball with an ingenious flare that will never be repeated.
Tuesday was Ginobili's 38th birthday, and to congratulate him, the San Antonio Express-News wrote a few nice words in the four-time champion's honor:
"His creative play making abilities are so noteworthy, NBA TV took notice and is broadcasting a day-long marathon dedicated to Ginobili’s best games to celebrate his birthday, so all fans of the game can bask in the talent San Antonio has been able to call ours for 14 seasons. Throughout the years, El Contusion has created countless memories with the Spurs organization, including four out of five championship moments. Thankfully, he’s ready to write a few more lines in his story with the team."
Few players have as many highlights as Ginobili. The way he passes the ball and slides to the rim is so beautiful and effortless.
He takes risks and doesn't care about making any mistakes, which can drive his coaches and fans mad, but at the end of the day all his contributions are greatly appreciated. The league is so lucky to have him back for at least one more season.
