Cavs send rookie swingman to Erie

The Cleveland Cavaliers have sent rookie swingman Christian Eyenga to Erie of the NBA's Development League.

Eyenga has not played during the regular season for the Cavs, who selected the Congo native with the No. 30 overall pick in 2009. He averaged 4.3 points in six preseason games, and the Cavs want him to get as much playing time as possible.

Eyenga spent last season playing in Spain.

The Eric BayHawks are the D-League affiliate of the Cavaliers and Toronto Raptors.
