Cavs send Jackson, Green to Erie

Published Feb. 25, 2010 3:21 a.m. ET

Cavaliers forward Darnell Jackson and rookie swingman Danny Green have been assigned to Erie of the NBA Development League.

Green has played in 13 games for the Cavaliers this season and has averaged 2.5 points. Jackson has averaged 0.8 points and 0.8 rebounds in 23 games. Both Green and Jackson will be available to play Thursday for Erie in its home game against Dakota.

The moves Wednesday give both players a chance for more consistent minutes. Cleveland is stocked at forward following the trade last week for Antawn Jamison.

The BayHawks are the D-League affiliate of the Cavaliers and the Toronto Raptors.
