Ricky Taylor wins Grand-Am pole at Daytona

Ricky Taylor has won the pole for the Grand-Am Series race at Daytona International Speedway.

Taylor earned the pole for Saturday's race with a lap of 125.228 mph in the No. 10 SunTrust Ford/Dallara that he co-drives with defending race winner Max Angelelli.

Defending Daytona Prototype champion Jon Fogarty qualified second Friday with a lap at 125.090 mph in the No. 99 GAINSCO Chevrolet/Riley. That car is co-driven by Alex Gurney.

Sylvain Tremblay led GT qualifying with a lap of 115.987 mph. He bumped Jordan Taylor from the pole.

Both Ricky and Jordan Taylor are the sons of two-time Rolex 24 winner Wayne Taylor.
