Philadelphia Eagles send Martin Truex Jr. some sweet gifts

Furniture Row Racing driver Martin Truex Jr. grew up in Mayetta, N.J., so it’s no big surprise that he’s a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan.
Truex, who is tied for most wins in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series this year with fellow four-time winners Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick, was supposed to visit the Eagles three weeks ago when NASCAR was racing at Dover (Del.) International Speedway.
But due to testing and other issues, the trip to watch the Eagles practice never happened.
Friday at Talladega Superspeedway, Truex got a couple of pretty cool consolation prizes from the Eagles: The first was a game football used when the Eagles beat the Pittsburgh Steelers, 34-3, on Sept. 25.
Truex was also given a green Eagles jersey with his name sewn on the back and the N0. 78 that he carries on his race car.
Clearly surprised by the gifts, Truex was nearly speechless, saying only, “No kidding? That’s awesome.”
