Joe Gibbs Racing driver Matt Tifft undergoes brain surgery

Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Joe Gibbs Racing driver Matt Tifft, who today is undergoing surgery to remove of a low-grade glioma in the brain.
Tifft, 20, is expected to return to racing once he completes rehabilitation and receives medical clearance.
So far this season, Tifft has run six NASCAR XFINITY Series races and three more in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

Tifft at least appeared to have a good sense of humor about the surgery, and on Friday night, an encouraging update was posted to Tifft’s Twitter account.
