It is customary for NASCAR fans to celebrate when one of the sport's biggest stars snaps an extended winless streak.

Particularly when it is a driver who typically wins but has suddenly fallen on hard times.

NASCAR fans are that way. They feel a strong kinship toward the drivers. They hurt with them, they celebrate with them.
