Magglio Ordonez out of Tigers lineup

Published Jun. 28, 2010 9:07 p.m. ET

Detroit Tigers right fielder Magglio Ordonez has been scratched from the lineup.

Ordonez was originally set to bat third on Monday at Minnesota, but he was removed about a half-hour before the game. There was no immediate word from the Tigers on the reason for the switch, but Ordonez missed six games earlier this month because of soreness around his left oblique muscle.

Ordonez did not play in Sunday's game at Atlanta, either. He's hitting .319 with 10 homers and 49 RBIs.

Ryan Raburn moved from second to third in the lineup and from second base to left field. Ramon Santiago entered the lineup at second base and batting second. And Brennan Boesch moved from left field to right.
