Second baseman Bradley Harman, who was on Australia's roster at the two World Baseball Classics and briefly played with Philadelphia Phillies, has been banned for 14 months by the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority.
ASADA said Thursday that Harman violated anti-doping rules for failing to inform drug-testing officials of his location three times in an 18-month period.
Harman, who played sparingly for the Phillies in 2008, batting .100 with one RBI, can resume competing on May 26, 2011.
Most of his time with the Phillies was spent in the minor leagues until he was released in August 2009.
