Derek Jeter says Red Sox fans have 'softened up' since winning titles

They'll tell him "I'm sorry, but I'm a Boston fan," Jeter explains to Seth Meyers during an appearance on Late Night on Tuesday. "I really don't care if you're a Boston fan" Jeter says. "You know, that's fine. We're not at the stadium. Just don't yell at me at restaurants."

Yankees fans are pleased the legendary shortstop didn't say it.

Jeter also doesn't specify which title (2004, 2007 or 2013) caused Red Sox fans to ease up on him -- a point of unclarity that Boston fans can celebrate.
