Cashner pitches 3 innings as Padres beat Indians 6-3

PEORIA, Ariz. (AP) Andrew Cashner pitched three hitless innings, helping the San Diego Padres beat the Cleveland Indians 6-3 in spring training on Saturday.
Cashner struck out five and walked one. The right-hander is trying to bounce back from a disappointing 2015, when he went 6-16 with a 4.34 ERA in 31 starts.
Jemile Weeks had a two-run single in San Diego's three-run eighth.
Danny Salazar pitched four scoreless innings for Cleveland in his longest outing of the spring. The right-hander struck out seven and yielded three hits.
