During Wednesday night’s Yankees-Nationals game at Nationals Park, home plate umpire Marvin Hudson ejected both Bryce Harper and Matt Williams because… Harper didn’t get in the batter’s box? What the heck?

Check out the video. Harper stepped out of the box after a bad call by Hudson, stepped back in, and stepped out when Hudson started yelling at Williams. Hudson then ejected Harper for not getting in the box quick enough after Williams’ ejection.

I hope everyone at Nationals Park that paid to see Marvin Hudson is thrilled. Harper was back in the box ready to continue his at bat against Adan Warren, but then Hudson started jawing with Williams, causing chaos.

What a joke. But hey, at least we all got to see Marvin Hudson eject a couple of guys!
