Arizona completes trades with three minor leaguers

The Arizona Diamondbacks have completed a pair of trades by acquiring three minor leaguers.

Outfielder Brandon Jacobs and right-handed pitcher A.J. Schugel were acquired from the Los Angeles Angels to complete the three-team trade that brought Mark Trumbo to Arizona. Outfielder Todd Glaesmann was acquired from Tampa Bay to complete the trade that sent Heath Bell to the Rays.

Jacobs, 23, hit .244 with 13 homers and 66 RBIs in 127 games with Class A Salem, Double-A Portland and Double-A Birmingham last season. Schugel, 24, was 4-6 with a 7.04 ERA at Triple-A Salt Lake City last year. Schugel led the Texas League with a 2.89 ERA in 2012.

Glaesmann, 23, hit .240 with 11 homers and 54 RBIs with Double-A Montgomery last season.
