True freshman QB Jonsen out for season after medical 'procedure'

Travis Jonsen, a four-star recruit and true freshman QB, will miss the 2015 season following a medical 'procedure', according to Oregon head coach Mark Helfrich.

Jonsen will redshirt, as he was intending to do anyways before suffering this undisclosed injury. Jonsen had been splitting scout team duties with QB Morgan Mahalak.

The freshman QB enrolled at Oregon in March and had not appeared in a game this season.
