The Ohio State Buckeyes are 3-0 as they enter Big Ten Conference play against Rutgers this week. The Buckeyes offense averages 56.7 points per game which is ranked third in the FBS.

The Buckeyes have enjoyed stellar quarterback play from J.T. Barrett as he has thrown 10 touchdowns and just one interception on the season. Barrett’s 67.1 completion percentage this season is a career high.

The Buckeyes’ defense has allowed just 12.3 points per game, ranked ninth in the FBS. They are led by lineback Raekwn McMillan who leads the team with 20 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, two pass breakups, and a forced fumble.

The pressure is on Rutgers to make something happen this week, the Buckeyes are heavily favored going in.

The Rutgers Scarlet Knights are 2-2 so far this season. They played Iowa in a tough game last week but ultimately lost 14-7.

The Scarlet Knights’ defense showed improvement last game, as they allowed less yards than they produced on offense. But turnovers proved to be the difference as Rutgers had a key fumble in the game.

Mistakes will need to be limited this week for Rutgers to come out on top. Fumbles not interceptions, have haunted the Scarlet Knights in losses.

In their 48-13 Week 2 loss to the Washington Huskies, they fumbled the ball three times, losing it twice to turnover. Quarterback Chris Laviano also threw an interception.
