App State trolls all of North Carolina with 'win the state' tweet

Despite the fact that the University of North Carolina won the ACC Coastal Division and was ranked No. 10 in the last College Football Playoff rankings, the Tar Heels were not the best team in the state of North Carolina this year, according to the folks at Appalachian State.

With their 31-29 victory over Ohio in the Raycom Media Camellia Bowl, the Mountaineers finished the season 11-2 (7-1 Sun Belt), giving them the best record of any FBS team in the state. App State did not hesitate to make that known to the rest of the state as it tweeted out the records of each of the FBS teams in North Carolina with a caption that read: “Statement. Win the state.”

Perhaps the most insulting part of the tweet is that Appalachian State forget to include Wake Forest, who finished the year 3-9 (1-7 ACC).
