Luke Apfeld scored 15 points and Vermont edged Old Dominion 65-63 in overtime on Wednesday night.

The Catamounts (3-2) outscored the Monarchs 5-3 in the extra period, with Old Dominion's Trian Iliadis missing a 3-point attempt with 1 second left in the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament.

Both teams hit a cold streak in overtime. Vermont, which shot 52.4 percent from the field in the second half (11 of 21) to overcome a six-point halftime deficit, was only 1 of 5. Old Dominion (3-3), which shot 38.5 percent in the second half (10 of 26), fared even worse, hitting 1 of 6.

The difference was at the free-throw line, where the Catamounts were 3 of 6 and the Monarchs just 1 of 4. Four McGlynn was 2-for-2 with 17 seconds left, then 8 seconds later hit 1 of 2.
