UNC-Wilmington rallies to beat Hofstra 70-67

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (AP) C.J. Bryce scored 24 points and Denzel Ingram sank the winning 3-pointer to lift UNC-Wilmington into sole possession of first place in the Colonial Athletic Association with a 70-67 comeback win over Hofstra on Thursday night.

Trailing by 20 in the first half, Wilmington (17-5, 9-2) rallied after the beak and took its first lead of the game with a 13-2 run fueled by Bryce and Ingram to make it 65-62 with 2:34 left.

Hofstra (16-7, 8-3) tied it at 67 on Juan'ya Green's 3-pointer with 20 seconds remaining, but then Ingram hit his fourth trey of the game to win it. Hofstra's Ameen Tanksley missed a 3 just ahead of the buzzer.

Ingram finished with 18 points, Chris Flemmings added 13 and Craig Ponder had 11 for the Seahawks.

Green led Hofstra with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Tanksley had 13 points and Rokas Gustys grabbed a career-high 21 rebounds.
