UC Santa Barbara wins 2nd straight, tops UC Davis 62-55

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (AP) Gabe Vincent scored 21 points and made off with four steals as UC Santa Barbara cruised to a 62-55 win over UC Davis to post its first two-game win streak of the season Saturday night.

The Gauchos fashioned an 11-point lead in the first half and allowed the Aggies to get no closer than seven points in the second half.

UC Santa Barbara (13-12, 7-5 Big West) was coming off an 81-68 win over Cal State Fullerton and have won three of its last four games.

Vincent shot 7 of 17 from the field, including 4 of 10 from beyond the arc. Eric Childress finished with 11 points and distributed four assists. As a team the Gauchos shot 33.3 percent from the floor (19 of 57).

Josh Fox and Brynton Lemar scored 17 and 16 points, respectively, to lead UC Davis (10-16, 5-8).
