Murray State pulls away in 76-60 win over Austin Peay

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Jeffery Moss sank five 3-pointers and scored 22 points to lead Murray State past Austin Peay for a 76-60 win Saturday night.

Damarcus Croaker added 14 points while hauling in 12 rebounds, Bryce Jones had 12 points and Gee McGhee 11 for Murray State (15-12, 9-5 Ohio Valley), which remains tied with UT Martin atop the conference's West Division.

Knotted at 31 at the break, the Racers took control midway through the second half. Moss nailed two 3-pointers to make 53-46 with 7:33 left, then Murray State used an 8-0 run capped by another 3 from Moss to pad it 66-53 with 2:07 remaining and held on down the stretch.

The Governors (12-17, 5-9) scored the game's first eight points and protected a narrow lead most of the first half.

Josh Robinson's 17 points led four Austin Peay players with double figures.
