Long Beach State beats Div. II BYU-Hawaii 91-57

LONG BEACH, Calif. (AP) A.J. Spencer scored 16 points off the bench as Long Beach State beat Division II BYU-Hawaii in an exhibition game Saturday night.

Spencer did it with 7-of-10 shooting from the field for the 49ers. Roschon Prince added another 16 points, Nick Faust had 14 points, Noah Blackwell had 13 and Justin Bibbins 11. Branford Jones led on the boards with 13 rebounds. The team hit 47.7 percent from the field and sank 82.1 percent of their free throws.

Long Beach State went 22-4 to start on its way to a 47-26 lead at the break.

In the second half, a dunk by Mason Riggins midway sparked a 7-0 run that extended LBSU's lead to 74-44 with 8:46 to play and they cruised to the win.

Justin Yamzon scored 20 points for the Seasiders who averaged just 27.9 percent from the field.
