Lawson has 20 points, Memphis drubs McNeese State 104-65

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) Dedrick Lawson had 20 points and 10 rebounds as Memphis drubbed McNeese State 104-65 on Tuesday night.

Craig Randall nailed 5 of 8 from long range to total 18 points and K.J. Lawson was 6 of 9 from the floor for 13 points, with 10 rebounds and seven assists for Memphis (4-0). Markel Crawford and Keon Clergeot scored 11 points apiece.

The Tigers shared the wealth as 12 players scored and they dished out 35 assists, the second highest in school history.

Memphis took control underneath by winning the rebound battle 47-31, and scoring 62 points in the paint while holding McNeese State to just 26. The Tigers also picked up 20 points off turnovers and had 34 fast-break points.

The Tigers led throughout and sprinted to a 43-24 halftime advantage. They dominated in the second half too, taking that one 61-41.

Jarren Greenwood led the Cowboys (1-3) with 15 points.
