James Madison coasts to 73-59 win over Towson

HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) Shakir Brown scored 14 points and had five rebounds and James Madison coasted to a 73-59 win over Towson on Saturday.

Ron Curry finished with 12 points and five assists and Dimitrije Cabarkapa had a perfect night, finishing 4 of 4 from the field and 1 of 1 at the free throw line for 11 points, for the Dukes (12-5, 2-2 Colonial Athletic Association). James Madison has won 10 of its last 12.

James Madison led 31-26 at the half and opened the second period on an 11-2 run to a take a 41-28 lead. Brown had a 3-point play and Tom Vodanovich hit one from behind the arc to cap an 8-2 stretch which gave the Dukes a 19 point lead (65-46).

Mike Morsell made a layup for Towson (11-6, 2-2) to make it 65-53, but the Tigers did not get closer.

William Adala Moto scored 17 for Towson.
