Isaiah Williams scores 18 in Georgia State's Cancun victory

CANCUN, Mexico (AP) Isaiah Williams scored 18 points and Georgia State beat Eastern Kentucky 82-65 on Wednesday to win the Mayan Division of the Cancun Challenge.

Justin Seymour made 5 of 6 attempts, all from 3-point range, for 15 points, and Malik Benlevi added 11 points and four assists and Willie Clayton 15 rebounds with nine points. The Panthers (3-2) shot 52 percent and made half of their 18 3-point tries.

The Colonels (2-4) shot only 33.3 percent and just 6 of 31 from the arc for 19.4 percent. Nick Mayo was 7-of-11 shooting for 21 points, Asante Gist added 16 points and Zach Charles 10.

The Colonels had a 10-point edge with 14:46 left in the first half before the Panthers took the lead for good with a 14-0 run capped by a basket from Williams.

Georgia State took a 52-42 lead with 16:22 remaining in the game and the lead remained in double figures.
