Harris, Fresno St. beat Colorado St. in MWC Tourney semis

LAS VEGAS (AP) Marvelle Harris scored 19 points and second-seeded Fresno State beat No. 6 seed Colorado State 64-56 Friday night in the Mountain West Conference Tournament semifinals.

The Bulldogs (24-9), who have won seven in a row and nine of their last 10, will face top-seeded San Diego State (25-8) in the championship game Saturday. The teams split two regular-season meetings, with each team winning on its home court.

Karachi Edo finished with 14 points and eight rebounds, while Julien Lewis scored 11 of his 12 points in the second half.

Colorado State (18-16) shot a season-low 23 percent (13 of 57) from the field, and made just 5 of 29 (17.2 percent) field-goal attempts after halftime.

John Gillon made all 10 of his free-throw attempts and finished with 13 points on 1-of-12 shooting. Fred Richardson III and Joe De Ciman scored 11 apiece. De Ciman grabbed nine rebounds while Richardson had eight.
